Microsoft Launches Online Translation Service - Windows Live Translator
September 9, 2007
Microsoft has now joined the free language translation services on the web. They have now launched the Windows Live Translator (beta) that allows you to translate between the following languages: English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian.
You can either translate text of upto 500 words of a whole website. But we will get more options on the other major players already in market, Google Language Tools or AltaVista - Bable Fish (now Yahoo!) . However, you could find several other services already supporting the Microsoft Office applications. All of them use the Systran technology. But Google also has their own In-House built translation application which you can switch over to.
